Apparently Godwin was in good fiscal shape by June, 1936. It was debt free for the first time in years. Perhaps in large measure because of the tax revenues from the newly completed General Motors stamping plant, 1937 would be a very good year for Godwin. In particular, the class annual would return.

At the bottom of the second column it states "The Japanese take the 3-2 class for a ride through their country." What was the 3-2 class? Was there a Godwin class trip to Japan in 1936 for the "3-2 class?"
