Ruth Becker was the valedictorian for the class of 1941. Kathleen Hager was Salutatorian. In most classes back to 1927, where by definition the top two students were women, more often than not the top two scholars were women. Fred Baker would die in WWII. Julia Dulyea and two young children would die in a house fire in 1944. After returning from the service during WWII, Lloyd Backart had a successful career at Rapidstan.
