Girls' and Boys' League was clearly very popular in 1942. Although their stated purpose is a little vague, they were nevertheless yet another set of character building clubs that held many events. Collecting toys for the less fortunate at Christmas seems to have been but on of the things the Leagues did.

Just why these organizations fell out of favor is not clear, but clubs in general were but vestigial entities by the late 1950s, and little more than ways to bloat one's activities lists at graduation by the early 1960s.
