Just when the Gannon school, in Gaines Township, was converted in to a house is not clear at present, but it's certain that the conversion saved the structure. Many others were vandalized beyond repair, or used by local farmers as storage sheds - the two room school house on 84th Street and Eastern Avenue was an example. The Gannon school appears to be in as good condition, if not better, than it every was.
