The photograph above of the Golden Lamb was taken in 1936.

Photos 1-4 show some of the rooms, but not ours.

Photos 6-8 show various dinning areas - the second floor is mostly dinning rooms for special functions.

Photo 8 is the front entrance.

Photo 10 is the town library.

Photo 11 apparently shows the original part of the hotel, although it's possible that the lower part was an addition. Photo 12 shows a more recent addition.

Photos 13 through 32 show main street, and a random assortment of the architecture in the old part of town. Buildings with chimneys on both ends, or chimneys in all four corners, quite likely date to the early 1800s. The town was apparently being built up between about 1800 and 1820.

Photos 33 through 37 show miscellaneous details of the Golden Lamb.

Photo 37 shows the plaques outside our room, the James A. Garfield room, or JAG for short....
