The house in March, 2007, in the process of being repainted.
The L. Munshaw house, located at 4040 Kalamazoo Avenue, was built in 1873. See the 1876 Kent County Plat map , section 21, to see the location of the L. Munshaw farm.
In March of 2007 the house appears to be empty, and is being repainted on the outside. The foundation appears to need work in places. Constructed of granite blocks, cemented together, the cement has deteriorated, a condition common in older houses.
It would be interesting to know what the layout and condition of the inside of the house are. There is a cement slab in the backyard of the house, on which there was apparently a building at one time. What was it for?
