Were the Bates sisters twins? Noami Doxtator and Madelin Crandall wrote the words for the Godwin School song, to a melody borrowed from the University of Michigan. Words like "fight" are not tolerated in today's school, so it's not clear whether the school song is still used.

Note that in 1930 again the valedictorian is a woman. On the same page it is mentioned that all fo the women shown participated in basketball, as early as 1927. Did women's sport only start when Godwin bacame a 12 year institution, perhaps as a requirement for being accredited?
