Gladys Saur was also a class advisor. Paragons of hard work, and dedication to the goal of ensuring that education at Godwin was both broad and deep, both Charles and Gladys Saur figured large in every graduating class for decades. Once again two women took top scholastic honors. Virginia Stapert was valedictorian, and Jeanette Arkema was salutatorian. A quick scan of the activities enjoyed by members of the class of 1933 shows that most students rarely lacked for something to do. |
