There were a large number over the years, perhaps in part
reflecting that boating in general was a popular pastime.
At the bottom of the middle column it is mentioned that 58 children would move from kindergarten to first grade the next year. That would be the class of 1948. More would join the class as the area around Godwin continued to expand, and a few would leave. But overall class sizes were continuing to grow. |
