Charles and Gladys Saur, together with members of the community and the Godwin faculty and staff, have built a school based on the needs of the area, and consistent with the values of the times. Their personal stamp is on everything in the school from about 1923 to 1947. They provided steady leadership through the best and worst of times for almost three decades, and made sure that everyone in Godwin family was included, and to the extent possible had what they needed to better themselves through their own efforts. And always with guidance from the Saurs. |
