Clubs were a way of life at Godwin in 1947 yet. Later technological developments made many of them irrelevant in later years - radio clubs for example. Others were simply not practical in a more litigous society, or one where new union rules made it impractical for students to do certain things. But while they did flourish, clubs gave Godwin students yet another chance at hands on activities, and to learn social graces, that no doubt served them well in late years. |
