The photo in the upper left shows a scene familiar to Godwin students prior to the completion of the northwest wing of the highschool in 1954. Lunches were served in the highschool gym. The kitchen was to the right of the stage. This scene went away starting in the fall of 1954, and the kitchen next to the stage became a storage area. The new kitchen and dining facility in the new was opened, and provided a more pratical food and function area for the school. One can imagin that a lot of tables and chairs had to be put up and taken down ever week with the old arrangement.
