• Roseburg. Octagon house. The Parrott House. Two octagonal porches, flanked by a pair of two story gabled sections, lead to an octagonal shaped parlor. Step lead up to the octagonal shaped cupola. The family was in the boot/shoe business.

• Talent Hexagon house. Built in 1863 by Welborn Beeson on Wagner Creek Road. In 1890 new owner Julius Foss's remodeling obscrued the shape. The later 1890s addition in the Queen Anne styel was much larger. The photo shows remanants of the hexagon home.

Linn County

• Albany Octagon house. Built on 5th and Walnut in 1851 by Rev James Patterson Miller who was a Baptist Preacher and one of the founders of the present Albany Baptist Church. The 16 room house was completed in 1854, it was to be used as a United Presbyterian Boarding school for young women. But when(Rev. Miller) was killed on April 9th 1854 in a tragic steam boat explosion these plans didn't materialize. The large old house was later moved to 2nd and Washington St. bought by Baptist preacher, a Rev. Rueben Coleman Hill. 2 children playing with firecrackers on July 4, 1926 (another report says 1922.) reportedly burned it down during a party.

  Apparently the John Frank Gaines (1868-1941) house.
  
  He was married to Wiletta Queener. It was built on what is now Meridian Rd Leland Gaines was living on the site in recent years.(Suggests house is gone.) Possibly address is 41328 Fish Hatchery Dr. Formerly a Mystery House."
